Artist Statement
Focused on realistic figurative subjects, my recent paintings strive to mimic life in both scale and
complexity. Thematically the paintings are shaped by the tensions between physical, ethical and
spiritual influences. Inspiration for these paintings stems from my fascination with the human body,
present-day etiquette, fashions, and my own sense of humor.
