Biography
Miguel De La Rosa was born and lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
His foundation in art began early, when he won successive student competitions for summer art classes
at the Milwaukee Art Center.
He continued his studies in art at the Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School. While still attending
high school, he was selected for an art apprenticeship at the Felix Senger Studio, a leading Liturgical Art
Studio in Milwaukee.
Apprenticing with Felix Senger elevated Miguel’s passion to create art on a large scale. While there he
developed new techniques for wood marquetry for wall murals and successfully executed several large
commissioned art installations for the archdioceses of Milwaukee, Chicago, and Indiana.
Miguel attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with an emphasis on fine arts. He
expanded his art studies at MATC by studying jewelry design.
He opened his art studio in 1985 and has continued creating fine art and exhibiting in the Midwest.
Using the studio name of Miguel and Co, he is currently focused on painting realistic figurative subjects
using acrylic on canvas with the addition of micro fine glitters and metallic acrylic paints
